KAOS (pronounced “chaos”) is a hybrid college and community radio station licensed to The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, broadcasting on 89.3FM at 1100 watts and on the web at kaosradio.org
How do I contact the DJ/request a song?

Some DJs take requests, but some may not. KAOS is a freeform station and our DJs are 100% in control of their own playlists.
Who can receive KAOS-FM’s signal?
Our terrestrial signal broadcasts for a roughly 30-mile radius around Olympia, WA. You can view an approximate coverage map here: KAOS-FM Coverage Map
You can also stream KAOS on the web or on your phone from anywhere in the world.
I just heard an amazing song. How can I find the title or artist?
All of our DJs log their playlists on Spinitron.
I missed my favorite show, how can I play it again?
Shows are automatically archived on Spinitron after they air and are available for two weeks. Just click the speaker icon to hear a show.
Will you publicize my event?
The Community Events Calendar is a free service provided by KAOS that serves the greater South Puget Sound area. Submit your event online or by calling the front desk: (360) 867-6888. Please give at least two weeks lead time.
Will you read a PSA for my organization over the air?
KAOS provides PSAs for local 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. You can submit a request through our Non-Profit Form.
How do I submit music for airplay consideration?
First, read the letter from our Music Department. KAOS prefers and prioritizes physical media submissions, but we do accept digital submissions as well.

How can I book an in-studio performance or interview on KAOS?
You can request a session or interview through our online request form. Please know that our current capacity for booking live and pre-recorded interviews is limited and not all requests can be accommodated.
How can I get involved/volunteer/get my own show?
KAOS couldn’t run without the help of our many dedicated volunteers and staff. Learn more about volunteer opportunities on our Volunteer page. The station also employs student staff each year to manage the Front Desk, Production Department, Music Department, and Library.
We are in need of more live show hosts! To get a regular show, you’ll have to go through our DJ Training program, pass a certification exam, and complete a show proposal and air check. Training is free to students and $75 for community members, or you can opt to contribute volunteer hours beforehand to cover the cost.
